Dontae Wilburn Arrested After Fatal Crash on Hammer Lane [Stockton, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Crash near Peppertree Drive

 
STOCKTON, CA (May 2, 2020) – Police arrested Dontae Wilburn after a fatal crash on Hammer Lane on Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Peppertree Drive around 3:30 PM.
 
The 34-year-old suspect struck a man and a woman in a parking lot. He left the scene after the incident.
 
Paramedics found the victims and transported them to the hospital. The man later died of his injuries, while the woman is expected to survive. However, the victims’ names were not yet released.
 
Police officers later found Wilburn and arrested him on homicide-related charges.
 
No other details were released. However, an investigation is ongoing.
