Adelina Enriquez Killed in Crash on Highway 86 [Coachella, CA]
Driver Dies in Fiery Car Crash near Dillon Road
COACHELLA, CA (May 2, 2020) – Police identified Adelina Bianca Enriquez as the victim killed in a crash on Highway 86 on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Peppertree Drive around 3:00 PM.
The 32-year-old Anaheim woman lost control of her 1999 Honda Civic before she drove onto the left shoulder of the freeway and crashed into a tree. As a result, the car caught fire in the incident.
A good Samaritan extricated Enriquez from the vehicle. She was then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.
No other details were released. However, an investigation is ongoing.
