Motorcycle Crash in Sacramento Turns Fatal
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 4, 2020) — A motorcycle accident on Highway 99 near 5th Avenue Friday turned deadly, reports say.
Tragic unfolded around 5:30 a.m. Friday when a Ford F-150 and a Yamaha motorcycle collided.
According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities inferred that the Yamaha switched from the No. 3 to the No. 2 lane. There, a Ford pickup truck collided with the rear of the motorcycle.
As a result of the crash, the woman riding the Yamaha died at the scene. Meanwhile, the 42-year-old male driver of the Yamaha sustained major injuries.
Per officials, the 28-year-old driver of the Ford was unharmed and not believed to be under the influence. However, speed might have played a role in the accident.
