Man Killed in Two-Car Collision at Main Street and Placentia Lane [Riverside, CA]
Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Reported in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 4, 2020) — A 78-year-old man died in a two-car collision at Main Street and Placentia Lane Tuesday morning.
According to the Riverside Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 11:00 a.m.
Sgt. Erich Feimer indicated that the 78-year-old man who died following the crash was traveling northbound on Main Street before a 2016 Toyota Tacoma collided with his 1998 Toyota Camry.
Detectives inferred that the 21-year-old woman in the Camry pulled onto Main Street from westbound Placentia Lane before the impact.
Following the accident, paramedics transported the 78-year-old man to Riverside Community Hospital where he died during surgery. The woman stayed back and cooperated with police investigators who said drugs and alcohol did not play a role.
However, because the information is limited, authorities seek to explore this crash further.
