Homeless Man Dies in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 4, 2020)—A homeless man died following Friday’s pedestrian accident on Flower Street and 52nd Street.
According to news reports, the crash unfolded just before 3 a.m. A driver, described as a 19-year-old man, traveling southbound on Flower Street lost control of his car. At 52nd Street, his vehicle struck a homeless encampment where a man had been sleeping.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman said the homeless man died at the scene, despite CPR efforts performed by the fire department paramedics.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the driver to lose control of the car. As of now, no arrests have been made.
