Man Struck and Killed by Train at Bay Fair Station [San Lorenzo, CA]
Fatal Train and Pedestrian Crash near Hesperian Boulevard
SAN LORENZO, CA (April 28, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a man was struck and killed by a BART train at Bay Fair Station on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Hesperian Boulevard around 9:50 AM.
A report from BART showed the victim on the tracks when a Richmond-bound train struck him. As a result, he fell into the bus zone of the parking lot.
An ambulance rushed the man from the bus zone to a hospital, where he died. His identity was not released pending kin notification.
Police closed the station for a little more than an hour while they investigated the incident. However, no other details are available.
