Larry Kirby Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Thille Street [Ventura, CA]
Larry Kirby Fatally Struck by Car in Ventura
VENTURA, CA (April 30, 2020)—A 42-year-old man died as a result of Tuesday’s pedestrian accident on Thille Street near Saratoga Avenue.
According to the Ventura Police Department, the accident happened around 5:47 p.m. The driver informed authorities that the man had been hit just north of the Thille Neighborhood Park. The person immediately contacted 911 and began providing medical aid.
As soon as officers, paramedics and firefighters arrived, they took over with medical treatment.
Unfortunately, as soon as paramedics ushered the victim to a hospital, nurses and doctors were unable to revive him. Larry Kirby died as a result of blunt force head injury, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.
As far as the ultimate cause of the accident goes, drugs and alcohol have been ruled out. Police plan to investigate the details of the accident such as in what direction the car and pedestrian had been traveling. Those with information should call the department’s motor unit at 805-339-4451.
