Charlie Brechtel Killed in Motorcycle Accident on O’Byrnes Ferry Road [Copperopolis, CA]
Musician Charlie Brechtel Killed, Briana Masona and Evan Gorder Uninjured Following Copperopolis Crash
COPPEROPOLIS, CA (April 28, 2020) — Saturday’s motorcycle accident on O’Byrnes Ferry Road near Duchess Drive tragically took the life of a well-known musician.
Charlie Brechtel—a well-known musician, film producer and radio host in the American biker community—died in the 5:52 p.m. accident.
According to California Highway Patrol, Brechtel was operating a 1987 Harley-Davidson bike northbound when for unknown reasons he drifted over the double yellow lines and collided with the left-front of a 2013 Chevy Equinox.
Due to the impact, the 62-year-old was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries.
Neither Briana Mason, 29, nor Evan Gorder, 29—the two occupants of the Chevy—sustained injuries in the accident.
Investigators arrived to determine what factors drove the crash. They’ve confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to have played as a factor in the accident, but an ongoing investigation continues.
Our law firm would like to take this moment to express sympathies to the family and friends of Charlie Brechtel.
