Woman Killed in Car Accident on 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard [Oakland, CA]
Passenger Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (April 28, 2020)—A woman died, and two other people sustained serious injuries following Sunday’s two car accident on 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.
According to the police, the accident happened around 3:36 a.m. The woman who died was a passenger in a Honda sedan that crashed into a Nissan van. Paramedics responded to the collision to tend to the seriously injured woman; however, despite life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
Although her name has not been released, police described her as a female in her 20s.
Regarding the other occupants, the drivers of both vehicles suffered major injuries and had to be hospitalized after the accident.
Thus far, police have not determined the circumstances and cause of the accident, but anyone with information should call police traffic investigators at 510-777-8570.
