Ricky Vigil Killed in Pedestrian Accident on 35th Avenue [Oakland, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Crash

 
OAKLAND, CA (April 18, 2020) – Authorities identified Ricky Vigil as the victim killed in a pedestrian accident on 35th Avenue on Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Brookdale Avenue around 8:04 PM.
 
The 55-year-old victim was walking across the street when he was hit by a Mercedes R class multi-purpose vehicle. The accident happened at an unmarked crosswalk.
 
Vigil was transported to the hospital, where he later died due to injuries.
