Carson Gates Killed in DUI Crash on Nees Avenue [Fresno, CA]
Teen Carson Gates Dies, James Anderson Involved in Fresno DUI Crash
FRESNO, CA (April 25, 2020) – Authorities identified Carson Gates as the victim killed in a DUI crash on Nees Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Chestnut Avenue.
19-year-old Gates was in the passenger seat of a small car when a full-size Chevrolet truck hit it.
Fire crews cut the roof off the car to get Gates out. After that, paramedics rushed him to Saint Agnes Hospital, where he died due to severe injuries.
The Chevy driver, James Anderson, 26, of Fresno, was booked on multiple charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injury or death.
