Fatal Two-Car Accident in Citrus Heights

 
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (April 27, 2020) — Tragedy unfolded when two cars crashed in an accident on Auburn Boulevard near Donegal Drive Thursday night.
 
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, paramedics ushered two other patients to a hospital with significant injuries.
 
The 8:20 p.m. accident occurred when an SUV and a truck, traveling in opposite directions, collided head-on.
 
With witnesses’ help, police confirmed that the westbound SUV crossed over the center divider for unknown reasons and plowed into the eastbound truck.
 
The identities of the fatal victims have not been released and those who survived the crash are expected to recover.
 
Inferring from their investigation, police believe speed played a role in the accident.
