Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Driver in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, CA (April 23, 2020) — A vehicle struck and killed a woman Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident on Main Street near East Dyer Road, according to authorities.
According to the police, the tragic accident happened around 5:30 a.m. Santa Ana Cpl. Anthony Bertagna confirmed that the southbound driver struck the woman as she began crossing outside of a marked crosswalk on Main Street.
The accident happened when the driver had a green traffic light.
Following the crash, police questioned the driver and determined that he or she showed no signs of impairment; however, details concerning where the fault lies and other outstanding details have yet to be confirmed.
