Four Juveniles Injured in DUI Crash at Northwood Drive
MURPHYS, CA (April 14, 2020) – Police arrested DUI driver Sky Harris after a crash on Highway 4 on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Northwood Drive around at 6:35 PM.
The crash occurred when the 38-year-old Murphys man in a Subaru attempted to turn left off the highway but continued directly into the path of an oncoming minivan driven by 32-year-old Carlos Vigil of Arnold.
Four juveniles in the van suffered minor to major injuries. Two victims were taken to UC Davis, one to Adventist Health Sonora, and the other did not require hospital treatment. Harris sustained minor injuries while Vigil was uninjured in the incident.
Police discovered Harris intoxicated at the time of the crash. As a result, police booked him into Calaveras County Jail.
