Adele Vershaw, Girl Die in Yuba City Accident
YUBA CITY, CA (April 20, 2020) — A head-on collision on Highway 99 near Hutchinson Road turned fatal Saturday morning.
According to officials, Adele Vershaw and a 2-year-old girl died in the head-on crash that also injured a 50-year-old woman.
Officers investigating the accident determined that Vershaw and the child drove northbound in a 2018 Dodge Caravan. After that, the car veered toward the center divider and entered the southbound lanes.
From there, Vershaw made a sharp turn into oncoming traffic, where the Dodge collided with a 2018 Jeep Liberty.
Tragically, Vershaw and the child perished in the accident. Paramedics brought the 50-year-old woman to a hospital with major injuries.
At this point, officers haven’t determined the factors that drove the collision in the first place but plan to explore these details further.
We’d like to express our sincere sympathies to the families and friends of Adele Vershaw and the dear child in light of this heartbreaking circumstance.
