Man Fatally Struck by Car in Tustin Pedestrian Accident on 55 Freeway

 
TUSTIN, CA (April 16, 2020) — A man died Monday evening following a pedestrian accident on 55 Freeway near McFadden Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 9:50 p.m. Officials closed the southbound lanes as they investigated the cause and details.
 
CHP officials say the man was walking on the freeway when a vehicle struck him in the No. 3 lane. However, it is unclear where the man had come from.
 
As for the victim’s identity, the coroner’s office has yet to release this information pending identification and notification of his next of kin.
