Two Injured in Car and Train Crash on Lakeville Street [Petaluma, CA]
Car Crashes into Northwestern Pacific Train near Cedar Grove Park
PETALUMA, CA (April 9, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries after a car and a train got involved in a crash on Lakeville Street on Highway 99 on Thursday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the Hunt and Behrens Feed Mill on Cedar Grove Park around 8:30 PM.
Reports showed a 2019 Volkswagen Golf going around the flagger hitting a Northwestern Pacific train was traveling southbound around 1 mile per hour. The track crossing was only marked with a sign.
The driver and a passenger in the car sustained minor injuries. However, an ambulance was not called.
The car suffered moderate damage.
