Alberto Robledo Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 99 [Turlock, CA]
DUI Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash near Main Street
TURLOCK, CA (April 7, 2020) – Police identified Alberto Robledo as the driver who suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 99 on Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near West Main Street around 11:30 PM.
Reports showed Robledo in a Chrysler PT Cruiser on the southbound lanes of the highway when CHP officers pulled him over. However, he sped off before the officers were able to approach him. A chase happened and Robledo crashed into a slower-moving 2018 Ram 5500 towing a Bigtex semi-trailer.
Robledo, 40, of Sacramento, was not wearing a seatbelt and needed to be extricated by emergency responders. He sustained major injuries and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ram, Erik McDaniel, 30, of Bakersfield sustained minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital.
Police arrested Robledo for felony driving under the influence, felony evading and driving without a valid driver’s license.
