Pedestrian Hospitalized in Lynwood DUI Accident on Larch Way near 31st Place
LYNWOOD, WA (April 10, 2020) — Authorities determined that a DUI driver struck and injured a pedestrian on Larch Way near 31st Place West Wednesday evening.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place around 6:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of Larch Way.
Authorities say the woman was jogging when a vehicle veered from the roadway and onto the shoulder, where it struck her.
Paramedics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries. At this time, her condition is not known.
Although the driver originally left the scene, he called 911 a short time later and said that he might have had struck something in the road. When deputies arrived at his house, they learned that impairment played a role in the accident.
Police arrested him a short time later.
