Car Crashes into Contra Costa County Fire Engine near Acalanes Road
LAFAYETTE, CA (April 6, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person suffered injuries in a car crash on Highway 24 on late Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Acalanes Road around 11:33 PM.
The collision occurred when a Honda Accord crashed into a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District engine while firefighters were responding to an earlier accident.
Officials located the unconscious driver of the sedan. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. However, no firefighter was hurt in the collision.
