17-Year-Old Motorcyclist Erik Flores-Valenzuela Killed in Crash near Encanto Boulevard
PHOENIX, AZ (April 8, 2020) – Police identified Erik Flores-Valenzuela as the teen killed in a motorcycle crash on 48th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident happened near Encanto Boulevard.
Police said a pickup truck made a turn near the intersection when the 17-year-old motorcycle rider crashed into it.
The rider suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene. Police identified the victim as Flores-Valenzuela.
The pickup truck’s driver and passenger were not injured. The driver involved in the crash stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
