Man Hospitalized in Vista Pedestrian Accident at Civic Center Drive and Santa Fe Avenue

 
VISTA, CA (April 10, 2020) — A 59-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries in Wednesday’s pedestrian crash at Civic Center Drive and Santa Fe Avenue.
 
According to San Diego County Sheriff‘s Sgt. Hernan Gonzalez, the pedestrian accident took place around 8:40 p.m. when the 59-year-old man was walking westbound across Civic Center Drive. A southbound vehicle struck the unidentified victim, causing him life-threatening injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and quickly transported the man to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the driver who dodged injuries, stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
 
Officials reported that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash.
