Pedestrian Dies After Hit by Train Near San Fernando Road and Branford Street [Pacoima, CA]
Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported in Pacoima at San Fernando Road and Branford Street
PACOIMA, CA (April 9, 2020)—A pedestrian died Tuesday morning after being struck by a train near San Fernando Road and Branford Street.
According to news reports, the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. in the 9800 block of San Fernando Road.
The unidentified pedestrian died after Metrolink AV line train No. 212 heading toward Los Angeles struck the person. Due to the pedestrian’s grave injuries, the victim died shortly after.
Following the crash, officials called buses to the area to pick up all rail passengers to facilitate transportation.
No other information was available, and the cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
