Pedestrian Hospitalized After Car Strikes Him in Phoenix Accident on Bell Road
PHOENIX, AZ (April 9, 2020) —A man in a wheelchair sustained life-threatening injuries following Tuesday’s pedestrian accident on Bell Road near North 17th Avenue.
According to Sgt. Ann Justus with Phoenix police, the man in a wheelchair was crossing against a traffic light near the intersection when a westbound vehicle struck him.
Following the accident, which occurred around midnight, the unidentified driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police investigators. Investigations proved that speed and impairment did not play factors in the accident; however, an ongoing investigation continues.
