One Dead in Fiery Car Crash on San Pablo Avenue [Hercules, CA]
Possible DUI Driver Involved in Fatal Crash near Sycamore Avenue
HERCULES, CA (April 5, 2020) – One person was proclaimed dead in a fiery car crash on San Pablo Avenue on early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Sycamore Avenue at approximately 2:00 AM.
Hercules Police said that the victim was a passenger of a car that went off the roadway and crashed into a tree. As a result, the car caught fire afterward.
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office pronounced the car passenger dead at the scene. They also found a man lying in the road. The man was the driver of the car. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of internal injuries, burns and broken bones.
