Michael Arellanes Dies in Ramona Expressway Collision Near North Sanderson Avenue
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 7, 2020) — The man who died in Sunday’s two-car crash on Ramona Expressway near North Sanderson Avenue has been identified.
According to sources, 30-year-old Michael Arellanes of Ontario lost his life in the 5:40 a.m. accident
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said Arellanes was the driver of a white Acura sedan that carried two passengers inside. For unknown reasons, the Acura stopped in the No. 3 lane before a fuel tanker slammed into the vehicle, killing Arellanes and injuring two others.
Arellanes tragically perished at the scene and his two passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Reports did not indicate whether the truck driver suffered any type of injuries.
Since information concerning the truck driver and the cause of the crash is limited, investigators expect to uncover more details to determine the events and liabilities.
