LATHROP, CA (April 1, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the amount of damage sustained in a hit-and-run crash on 5 Freeway northbound on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Highway 120 around 3:15 PM. However, Lathrop Police said that a vehicle left the scene after colliding with a white Honda and a blue Chevrolet.
Fortunately, the paramedics confirmed that no one suffered injuries in the incident.
Fire officials said that the accident destroyed at least 20 feet of the metal guardrail and two wooden posts.
