Hit-and-Run Vehicle Involved in Red Light Accident near 18th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 31, 2020) – Two CHP officers were injured in a crash on V Street on Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near 18th Street around 8:33 PM.
The incident occurred after a Toyota Corolla traveling northbound ran a stop sign. After that, it collided with the left side of the victims’ patrol car.
The victims suffered unspecified injuries due to impact.
Two people inside the Toyota fled the scene on foot. Police found the vehicle registered to an address near the collision scene. As a result, officers arrested two people on suspicion of hit and run.
