Pedestrian Fatally Struck by SUV in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (April 2, 2020)—A woman lost her life Tuesday afternoon following a pedestrian accident on Yosemite Boulevard and Kerr Avenue.
 
According to the Modesto Police Department, the woman was walking on Kerr Avenue, crossing Yosemite Boulevard, when the fatal incident took place.
 
Police determined that a GMC Yukon driver fatally struck her as he or she attempted a left-hand turn onto Kerr Avenue.
 
Following the accident, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
So far, officers have ruled out impairment as a possible reason behind the accident. However, an investigation continues as they determine the liabilities and circumstances.
