Man and Woman Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 16 [Plymouth, CA]
Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash near Welsh Pond Road
PLYMOUTH, CA (March 30, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man and woman died in a head-on crash on Highway 16 on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Welsh Pond Road before 8:00 PM.
Plymouth Police identified the involved vehicles as a Chevrolet Cruze and a Volkswagen Passat
As a result, a female driver of the Chevy and a juvenile passenger in the Volkswagen were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are not yet released.
The male driver of the Volkswagen and his two other passengers, all of Sacramento, required an airlift to valley trauma centers with major injuries.
The highway closed in both directions while police continue with an investigation. However, no other details are available.
