NEW WASHOE CITY, NV (March 22, 2020) – A bicyclist suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Eastlake Boulevard on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Meadows Fire Rescue and REMSA, the incident happened near Washoe Lake State Park just after 1:00 PM.
Based on their reports, a pickup truck with a horse trailer attached to it struck the female victim. The truck did not stop at the scene after the collision.
Officials transported the cyclist to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The authorities later on located the vehicle. The driver said they did not know the crash had happened. However, police did not cite anyone after the incident.
