Pedestrian Dies in Accident on 8 Freeway near Taylor Street [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 23, 2020) — A pedestrian died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in an accident on 8 Freeway near the Taylor Street exit.
Sources indicated that around 8:20 p.m., a person contacted authorities about a pedestrian being hit in the Mission Valley area. According to the California Highway Patrol website, authorities arrived to find a body near the center divider, and the medical examiner’s office responded to the matter shortly after.
Due to the crash, crews shut down three left lanes for investigations.
Yet as of now, information regarding the circumstances and how the incident happened remains unclear. However, police are conducting an investigation into the accident. In addition, authorities encourage any witness with details to call your local police department.
