Miguel Esquer Dies in Car Accident on 48th Street [San Bernardino, CA]
Car Crashes into Semi-Truck in Fatal Accident on 48th Street near Sun Valley Drive in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 25, 2020) – Police identified Miguel Esquer as the victim who died in a car accident on 48th Street on Christmas Day.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the collision happened near Sun Valley Drive at approximately 10:33 AM.
Based on a report, the 32-year-old Fontana man was driving a 2002 Ford F-150 westbound on 48th Street at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. As he approached the intersection, it went into opposing lanes and collided with a parked semi-truck on the street.
As a result, emergency crews said Esquer died at the scene.
Initially, investigators said speed did appear to be a factor in the incident. However, the collision is still under investigation.
