William Junior Dies in Alleged DUI Accident Near West Shaw and North Del Mar Avenues
FRESNO, CA (January 4, 2021)—A 31-year-old man died Friday in an alleged DUI accident near West Shaw and North Del Mar avenues.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the devastating event happened around 1 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers learned that the vehicle had lost control at possible high speeds and struck a curb. Subsequently, the vehicle went airborne and slammed into a brick wall and a tree.
Per officials, the driver, 31-year-old William Mullin Junior, perished in the accident and his 35-year-old passenger sustained major injuries.
Evidence at the scene pointed out that alcohol may have likely played a role in the accident and that both men appeared to have not worn their safety belts.
