Woman Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway [San Diego, CA]

Car Struck by Truck in Fatal Accident in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 7, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that a woman died in a car accident on 15 Freeway on Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just south of Camino del Norte around 7:40 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was driving on the southbound lanes when her sedan started to hydroplane on the wet freeway. Subsequently, the car turned toward the No. 4 lane, then the driver over-corrected and caused the car to spin across the road. Consequently, the driver’s side of a truck struck it. The force pushed the car into the center divider and a chain reaction crash of other vehicles followed.
 
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Her identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The Poway Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to the call for aid.
 
This time, an investigation into the collision is still ongoing. However, police ask people with information pertinent to the investigation to contact the CHP.
