Araceli Guzman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41 [Fresno, CA]
Multiple Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash on Highway 41 near Adams Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (November 7, 2020) – Authorities identified Araceli Guzman as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 41 on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Adams Avenue shortly after 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, three vehicles collided in the lanes. It started with a 17-year-old girl from Kerman who was driving a Honda Accord south on the road. Due to unknown reasons, she turned east onto Adams and hit a northbound Toyota Camry.
Subsequently, the Camry careened into a light pole. In addition, the Honda crashed into a Chevrolet Suburban.
As a result, 54-year-old Araceli Guzman died at the scene. She was a passenger in the Camry. Medics transported the car’s 44-year-old male driver to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. The 17-year-old Honda driver complained of pain and crews took her to CRMC for treatment.
In addition, the family of three from Ferndale in Humboldt County inside the Chevy had minor injuries and planned to seek medical attention on their own.
The Fresno Police Department is still investigating the case. However, they do not have additional information to share.
