Two Vehicles Involved in Head-On Crash on South Rock Boulevard near Reactor Way in Reno
RENO, NV (October 29, 2020) – Emergency crews sent two people to the hospital following a head-on crash on South Rock Boulevard on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Reactor Way alongside the Reno-Tahoe International Airport around 4:31 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle traveling south on Rock Boulevard crossed over the centerline. Consequently, it crashed head-on into a vehicle going north on the road.
As a result, emergency crews found one person trapped inside one of the vehicles. Crews did extricate and transport the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. In addition, medics also sent one person in the other vehicle to the hospital with minor injuries.
The NHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
