19-Year-Old Reckless Driver Injured in Rollover Crash on 80 Freeway [Reno, NV]
Car Falls Off Overpass on 80 Freeway at McCarran Boulevard in Reno
RENO, NV (October 28, 2020) – A 19-year-old reckless driver sustained injuries in a rollover crash on 80 Freeway on Wednesday morning.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at McCarran Boulevard.
Based on a report, the victim was reckless driving when he hit a guardrail and rolled off the overpass. Subsequently, he hit two other vehicles.
As a result, the victim suffered a head injury. Emergency crews transported him to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment. Nobody else was hurt.
Officers closed a portion of McCarran while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area.
NHP said the victim will be cited for reckless driving. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
