Bicyclist Injured in San Francisco Bus Accident Mission Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 19, 2020) – Police confirmed that a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus struck a bicyclist in an accident on Mission Street on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near 3rd Street.
Based on a report, the bus, a 14-Mission Rapid, was traveling east on Mission when its right side struck the cyclist. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the accident.
As a result, the bicyclist suffered injuries. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment. However, the severity of the victim’s injuries was not immediately available.
The collision briefly caused buses to be rerouted. Officers are still investigating the collision. This time, they don’t have additional information to share.
