65-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Clinton Avenue [Fresno, CA]
Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Clinton Avenue near Cedar Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (October 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 65-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Clinton Avenue on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Cedar Avenue just before 7:00 PM.
Based on a report, the woman parked her car and crossed the road to reach her home. Subsequently, a car traveling eastbound on Clinton hit her. In addition, officers learned the woman was not using a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital. Unfortunately, she later died due to severe injuries. Officials did not yet release her identity pending kin notification.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the police. At this time, no other details are immediately available. However, officers are investigating the case.
