Woman Dies in Suspected Pedestrian Accident in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, CA (October 15, 2020) — A 30-year-old woman died Tuesday from what seems to be a pedestrian accident on the 710 Freeway near Pico Avenue.
Around 3:00 a.m., Long Beach police officers received a call about a body lying on the freeway.
Upon arriving, police located the body under the 6th Street connector from the 710 South Freeway.
According to the investigation, detectives believe the body belongs to a woman who purportedly walking along the freeway just an hour before the call.
In addition to their findings, they believe she was crossing the northbound lanes for unknown reasons when multiple cars struck her.
At this time, officers have not spoken to any drivers involved in the accident. However, an investigation surrounding this, as well as other outstanding details, continues.
As for her identity, authorities will release it once her family members have been notified.
