RENTON, WA (October 8, 2020) – At least two people were hurt in a rollover crash at 2600 Benson Road South on Thursday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 5:00 AM.
Based on a report, a Tesla Model 3 was going at a high rate of speed while heading north on the road. Subsequently, it lost control before it struck a median. Consequently, it hit two power poles before rolling over and coming to rest on the southbound lanes.
As a result, two people were hurt in the incident. Emergency crews extricated the victims before transporting them to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The crash brought down the power lines and closed the road. Renton police said the collision affected at least 200 customers of the two power poles.
Police did not release further details about the case. However, they continue to investigate the rollover crash.
