Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Cesar Chavez Street [San Francisco, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by San Francisco Hit-and-Run Driver
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 2, 2020) – Police are now looking for a hit-and-run driver after a fatal pedestrian crash on Cesar Chavez Street on early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Evans Avenue at about 4:51 AM.
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the female pedestrian who was in the street. Subsequently, the driver left the scene after the incident. At this time, officials still don’t have descriptions of the suspect vehicle and its driver.
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. However, the Medical Examiner’s Office declined to release information on the identity of the victim pending kin notification.
This time, the San Francisco police are now asking the public for help identifying the hit-and-run driver. In addition, they are also searching for surveillance footage, witnesses, or other information that could help identify the suspect or the vehicle.
