Woman Struck by Vehicle after Falling into the Road in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (September 14, 2020) – Police confirmed that a woman died in an accident on First Street on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the intersection of First Street and Yale Avenue just before 9:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was standing in the center median prior to the crash. Due to an unknown reason, she fell into the path of an oncoming car. Subsequently, the driver did not see her and struck her.
As a result, medics said the victim later died at the hospital. Officials only identified her as a woman in her 50s.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. In addition, they said that intoxication was not a factor in the crash.
CHP officials don’t have additional details this time. However, they ask anyone with information about the crash to call them.
