Keon Dawson Dies After Crashing Into Car on West Sahara Avenue at 15 Freeway On-Ramp

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 11, 2020) — A 24-year-old man died in a trike accident Wednesday night on West Sahara Avenue at the 15 Freeway on-ramp.
 
According to the Clark County coroner’s office, Keon Lesane Dawson has been identified as the fatal victim in Wednesday’s crash.
 
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. A driver in a Chrysler sedan tried making a left-hand turn from eastbound Sahara Avenue onto the 15 North Freeway on-ramp.
 
However, things took a turn for the worst; per authorities, Dawson ran a red traffic light at the time, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported Dawson to University Medical Center where he died despite having received life-saving measures.
 
At this time, the NHP is investigating the crash.
