Woman Severely Hurt in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at North Broadway and West College Street [Los Angeles, CA]
Woman Struck, Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 8, 2020) — A woman is fighting for her life after Friday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident at North Broadway and West College Street left her critically injured.
According to reports, the incident happened around 5:00 p.m. in Chinatown. A preliminary investigation has led officers to believe that the driver stopped briefly but took off.
Under unknown circumstances, the 2003-2006 Mercedes Benz C230 struck the 70-year-old woman before speeding off.
Paramedics responded to the scene shortly thereafter to find the woman with multiple blunt-force trauma injuries. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
As for the driver, police say he is between 35 and 50 years old, approximately 6’4” and weighing roughly 180 pounds, with short blond braids. He also has a tattoo on his arm and the number 1 tattooed on the left side of his face.
