Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Wells Avenue [Reno, NV]
Vehicle and Pedestrian Crash on Wells Avenue and Vassar Street in Reno
RENO, NV (August 16, 2020) – Police confirmed that an elderly woman died in a pedestrian accident on Wells Avenue on Sunday.
According to the Reno Police Department, the collision happened near Vassar Street.
Officials from Reno Police Department, REMSA, and Reno Fire responded to the scene. Based on a report, two unidentified vehicles almost collided in the lanes. In order to avoid a crash, one of the vehicles veered and hit an elderly woman.
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Officials did not release her identity pending kin notification.
At this time, police don’t have additional information. However, the case remains under investigation.
