Charles Holley Killed, Jordan Ware Arrested in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on 4th Street [Sacramento, CA]
Charles Holley Dead, Jordan Ware Detained Following Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident at 4th and I Streets
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 20, 2020) — A Citrus Heights man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on August 13 at 4th and I streets.
According to a press release, the hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened last Thursday around noon outside the Sacramento Valley Train Station.
Inferring from the investigation, detectives believe the driver ran a red traffic light, subsequently striking an adult male in the crosswalk. Soon after, the suspect fled the area before police could identify him.
However, with the help of a surveillance video, detectives became successful in identifying the whereabouts and identity of the hit-and-run driver.
According to investigations, the driver of the dark gray 1998 to 2004 GMC Sonoma truck, which sustained moderate damage in the crash, has been identified as Jordan Ware.
Police say Ware, 22, fatally struck 51-year-old Charles Holley who died later at a hospital due to his major injuries.
Officers booked him into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
