Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 79 Leaves 3 Injured in Aguanga
AGUANGA, CA (August 18, 2020) — One person perished Sunday afternoon after two cars collided in a crash on Highway 79 near Dugan Drive.
The head-on fiery crash happened around 3:30 p.m.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, one person died while three others suffered minor to major injuries.
Callers had informed California Highway Patrol officials earlier on that one of the vehicles became engulfed in flames and passersby were seen trying to extinguish it.
Investigators have not yet confirmed how the accident happened or if speed or impairment had played a role. If anyone has information related to this crash, please call detectives.
