Alichia Church Dies in Rollover Crash on 80 Freeway [Vallejo, CA]

Vehicle Overturned in Fatal Accident on 80 Freeway at American Canyon Road in Vallejo

 
VALLEJO, CA (August 2, 2020) – Police identified Alichia Church as a woman who died in a rollover crash on 80 Freeway on Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of American Canyon Road around 1:45 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 1999 Toyota Avalon sedan was traveling eastbound on the freeway when it changed lanes from the slow lane to the No. 4 lane and went across all lanes. Consequently, the female driver lost control of the car, causing it to crash onto the right shoulder. It then hit a dirt embankment before it rolled over and came to rest on McGary Road.
 
Emergency crews rushed the car driver, 27-year-old Alichia Church, of Yuba City, to NorthBay Medical Center. She later died from her injuries. Her passenger, a 41-year-old Oakland man, suffered major injuries and was also taken to NorthBay Medical Center.
 
Police said drugs and/or alcohol intoxication is not known to be a factor in the traffic collision. However, they ask anyone with information to contact the Solano Area CHP Office at 707-428-2100.
